Community Guidelines
Our platform is a space for exploration, connection, and education. Treat this space like you would a conference hall, classroom, or public park.
Respect all users and creators
Treat others with respect and avoid inflammatory language – especially language that is hateful or discriminatory. Violence, threats, and behavior that is destructive to yourself or others does not have a place in our platform;
Content that is not welcome in realms includes, but is not limited to:
- Language intended to dehumanize or intimidate others based on a demographic category that they belong to.
- Content that explicitly calls for violence against an individual or group of people.
- Information that includes private, identifying details about others without their consent.
At minimum, all U.S. federal laws and laws applicable to your location must be followed at all times. See our creator guidelines for more information on how the platform handles and labels various types of content.
Embrace differences and be open to new ideas
We don’t believe that disagreements are inherently negative. They can generate new ideas, perspectives, and relationships. When engaging with something you’re critical of, we encourage you to criticize ideas over criticizing people. This helps to keep the dialogue going, rather than shutting a discussion down before it even begins.
Similarly, not every type of content is for everyone. If you find that what you’re engaging with isn’t right for you, you can always opt outof continuing to watch or participate.
Be yourself
Trust and integrity are important elements of your participation on the platform. Don’t impersonate others or misrepresent your identity. This includes identifying yourself as an organization or company that you are not affiliated with or authorized to represent.
Don’t engage in activities intended to damage or gain unauthorized access to another user’s account. The use of self-bots or user-bots is also not permitted on our platform; each account must be associated with a human, not a bot.
Refrain from spam, trolling, and other malicious content
This content is distracting and disruptive. It includes, but is not limited to:
- Excessive and repetitive posting
- Phishing
- The spreading of malware and viruses
These posts will be removed and conversations will be initiated to make sure users are clear on this policy going forward.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)
This will currently be monitored on a reported case by case basis. We are currently in the process of building tools to comply with COPPA.
Communities know best
We trust communities and creators to guide their content with minimal interference from us, setting the tone for the conversations they want to initiate. We encourage users to first check in with their community leaders for any questions or concerns related to creator content. In the event that an issue might violate our creator guidelines, we will initiate conversations with the relevant users to arrive at a positive outcome together.
Create the space that you want to be a part of
From artists to scientists, business owners to sports enthusiasts, everyone has a place on our platform to create meaningful work and connections. Your energy and interactions with others shape the space you occupy; be intentional with what you produce. Your creativity and perspective are valued here, and these guidelines help us to cultivate a space where your ideas can thrive.
